About us

Online the moment you land. That is what we wanted on every trip, so we built it.

The problem we kept running into

We have travelled to many countries. One of the first jobs after landing was always the same: find a local SIM card. The SIM desk at the airport costs more than a shop in town, so you wait. That means no internet until you reach your hotel. Then you look for a phone shop, try to understand the packages and hope you picked the right one. On a good day this takes an hour. Often it took two. In Brazil it took us six visits to the local shop and two days. That should be easier.

Why we started ArrivalSIM

As travel writers, we looked at working with eSIM brands. We liked the idea. However, the prices were often high, and mobile data does not have to cost that much. So we decided to sell travel eSIMs ourselves, at a price that fits what you get.

What we promise

  • A fair price. We keep our margin modest and show the full price including VAT.
  • Hotspot. We choose plans that allow sharing your data with a laptop or a travel partner, and we check this per country.
  • No small print. Data, days, countries and when the plan starts are on every plan page.
  • Clear at a glance. A few plans per country, with one marked as our pick for a typical trip.

How it works

Buy a plan, install the eSIM at home on wifi and switch it on after landing. That way you are online before you reach passport control. Read the full guide.
